What we collect
- Account — email + sign-in identity from Clerk so you can log in.
- Learning data — your answers, latencies, and FSRS review state so we can schedule what you study next.
- Payment data — handled directly by Stripe. We store only the session reference, plan, and expiry. We never see your card number.
- Usage analytics (opt-in) — if you accept, anonymous usage data is sent to PostHog (EU region) so we can improve question quality and pass rates. We do not run any third-party ad tracker.
Cookies
- Essential — Clerk session, Stripe checkout, consent storage. These do not require consent under GDPR/ePrivacy.
- Analytics (only with consent)— PostHog. Choose “Essential only” in the cookie banner to opt out; you can change your mind any time by clearing site data.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can request export or deletion of your data. Email us and we will process the request within 30 days. Deletion removes your account, learning state, and any payment grants beyond what we’re legally required to retain (~7 years for Dutch tax records).
Sub-processors

- Neon — database (EU region)
- Clerk — authentication

- PostHog (EU) — analytics, only with consent
- Vercel AI Gateway / Anthropic — for AI-drafted question content (no user data sent at runtime)
