Terms & refund policy

1. What we sell
DutchTheory provides time-bound access to an educational web application that helps you prepare for the CBR (Centraal Bureau Rijvaardigheidsbewijzen) motorcycle theory exam. We are not affiliated with CBR, RDW, or any interpreter agency. Passing the actual CBR exam is your responsibility — we do not guarantee a pass.
2. Plans & access
- Day plan — €4.99 — 1 day of access from time of purchase.
- Week plan — €9.99 — 7 days of access.
- Month plan — €19.99 — 30 days of access.
Access is non-transferable and tied to your account. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card or bank details. iDEAL and major credit cards are supported.
3. EU 14-day cooling-off & refunds
Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU), you have a 14-day cooling-off right for digital goods unless you explicitly waive it to start using the service immediately. By starting any session on DutchTheory after purchase, you explicitly request immediate provision of the digital content and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day cooling-off right from that moment forward, in accordance with article 16(m) of the directive.
If you have not yet started any session after purchase, you can request a full refund within 14 days. Email us with your account email; refund will be processed within 14 days to the original payment method.
4. Pass-guarantee retry
If you fail the CBR motorcycle theory exam while you have an active paid plan (or within 14 days after expiry), you can claim a one-time 30-day extension at no cost. Submit your official CBR result via the retry form. One claim per account, ever. The retry is an access extension, not a cash refund.
5. Content & accuracy
All questions are written from primary legal sources (RVV 1990, Wegenverkeerswet 1994, BABW, CBR Vademecum) and are educational reference material. We update content when Dutch traffic law changes but cannot guarantee real-time alignment with every CBR exam revision.
6. Acceptable use
- One account per natural person.
- Don't scrape or redistribute our question content.
- Don't share your account credentials.
- We may terminate accounts that abuse the retry guarantee or attempt to bypass the paywall.
7. Liability
DutchTheory is provided “as is”. Maximum liability under any circumstance is the amount paid by you in the preceding 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged on the pricing page and via email if you have an active plan.
9. Governing law
Dutch law. Courts of Amsterdam have exclusive jurisdiction.
